I see all too often how family and friends live off of the understanding of who someone was without giving that family member or friend the opportunity to grow, or even recognizing that they have grown.

Perception is the acceptance we think we need from the outside world or even the validation we are looking for from within. How much time are you investing in your persona, reputation, and the way others view you? If happiness is an inside job, why do we work so hard to get the attention of others? How much are you actually willing to pay to get noticed? How much of our permanent integrity are you willing to bargain for just 15 minutes of fame? We see this all too often in our society, so I thought this would be the perfect way to close out our Insecurity series. I believe it’s time that we address dysfunctional societal norms, like this one. 🤔
