Today’s show went a little differently, I did not have 1 guest on or even two...chileeee I had 4. Four incredible millennial mother’s spoke about motherhood, wanting and raising children and their own childhood experiences. We are not only talking about being mothers, we also discussed our own mothers and what we perceived their journeys to be. We also discussed the correlation between who our mothers were to us and who we wanted for our children.
It will inspire you to hear about the kind of mother Shakera grew up with, you can see how the ideal black woman shaped Shakera into the ideal black woman.
Claudia reflects the reality that many millennial women are facing in the 2021 workforce. It’s a challenge but she finds solicit in knowing that she is not the only one dealing with this challenge and that it’s the “new norm”.
Ashley explains to us the power of submission and how the mirroring ideals of what she believed was her mother’s weakness was actually what shaped Ashley and built her strength.

We speak about how and when she became a woman, how "becoming" has played a role in her life, what wealth and worth means to her and how she attains it on her own terms and ultimately what's next. It was awesome to hear the humility attached to the wisdom that she possesses, without the arrogance her wealth of knowledge can easily be associated with. And what a road she has traveled. She emphasizes how it was important for her to understand her walk with God as it coincided with her understanding of what womanhood is.
