What happens when God tells you to pause… right when you’re ready to move?
In this first episode of 2026, Jazmine opens the year with Selah — a holy pause rooted in obedience, reflection, and trust. After a season of momentum, plans, and ambition, God gives a “no for right now” — and instead of pushing forward, Jazmine chooses to stop, listen, and yield.
This episode explores:
Why God’s “no” is just as sacred as His “yes”
What it means to slow down without losing purpose
The tension between ambition and obedience
Why rest, stillness, and consecration are acts of faith
And how Selah becomes a spiritual reset, not a setback
The episode closes with a spoken-word poem titled Selah — a raw, reflective offering about stillness, rest, obedience, and God’s nearness in the pause.
- This is not about resolutions.
- This is about intentions with God at the center.
If you’re entering a season where God is asking you to wait, breathe, or stop — this episode is for you.
What are you being intentional about in 2026, concerning your relationship with God?
Make sure you:

In this powerful message, I share a word the Lord gave me titled “Wrestling with the Tension of Becoming.” If you remember we shared on the @EatDontCompete podcast a teaching on the same title, but let's just say this was a bit more in-depth.
Drawing from Genesis 32:24–30, we follow Jacob’s wrestle with God—his identity shift, his name change, and the tension that shaped his destiny. This message is for anyone who feels the weight of transition, transformation, spiritual tension, or the struggle between who you were and who God is calling you to be.
I walk through:
What are you really wrestling with?
Have you encountered God in the middle of your tension?
Does your tension hold a blessing?
Has your name changed—but you’re still answering to the old one?
Are you walking in your spiritual birthright?
I also share my own origin story—my childhood, abandonment, adoption, rebellion, endurance—and how God used every tension in my life to shape the call on my life. This message is both instructional and testimonial, a reminder that God still uses the least likely and builds miracles from messy beginnings. If you’ve ever wrestled with identity, calling, surrender, or transformation… this message will speak to you. God is still changing names, shifting destinies, and calling His people to become everything He ordained.
Key Scripture: Genesis 32:24–30
Supporting passages: Genesis 25 • Genesis 28 • Genesis 35 • Genesis 46 • Genesis 27:36 • John 3 • John 17 • Galatians 3
Main Themes:
– Wrestling with God
– Spiritual tension
– Identity in Christ
– Name change in scripture
– Birthright vs blessing
– Calling, purpose, destiny – Transformation and spiritual growth
– Becoming who God has called you to be
If this message blessed you, share it with someone who is in a season of becoming.
